offsets

I don't recall ever seeing anything definitive on this subject, just
occasional anecdotal info. Actually, I think most arisaemas will produce
offsets, initially attached to the tuber, and eventually separating.

More to the point perhaps, is whether they produce offsets from stolons. This
characteristic is sometimes called into play to help distinguish otherwise
similar species, which may be valid in some instances, but not always. For
instance, Ray Stilwell's A. triphyllum 'NLC' is stoloniferous, and Ellen
Hornig has reported a similar form,  but most forms of A. triphyllum are not.

I think that perhaps A. candidissimum and A. fargesii may also form stolons,
since their offsets are often some distance from the "mother" tuber. A.
exappendiculatum definitely does.

If others will chime in on this thread, maybe we can compile a list.
