Edible aroids

Hi, everyone - in Pradhan's book, under A. griffithii -
'In north Sikkim the tubers provide an important winter food and people
are given permission to dig the rhizome for one whole week and
thereafter collecting is banned and monitored by the forest department.'

In the Himalayas anything edible is eaten so I don't expect this is the
only arisaema to be used, nor in such a controlled way. In my
experience, bulbs of Fritillaria cirrhosa and Allium sps. also go into
the pot.
