This occurs with great frequency in my garden as well, and I think it usu=ally
means that pollination has not occurred, mainly because both sexes of flo=wers
are not present.

However, if you think that you have both male and female of a species, a
lttle help with pollination usually works. One way is to use some sort of
bulb syringe to insert water into the male spadix,then suck it back out a=nd
insert it into the female. I do this 3 or 4 days in sucession, and it see=ms
to help.
