While this is an excellent idea, I would like to point out that the labels

I find an easy way to ID seedlings is to write with water-proof ink on a
plastic plant marker and put this in the pot or on a tray. HOWEVER, even
water-proof ink has washed away in my greenhouse. So now, I simply put a
small piece of Scotch tape over the printing to protect it from water and any
water-soluable feedings.
