I'd be tempted to try about two months of refrigeration and get them planted
out by July first. That might be enough cold dormancy to get them started in
growth again and still leave a bit of time for them to grow on before your
winter weather . The worst thing that could happen would be that they
wouldn't come up again until next spring.
