Duncan,

The tray will be fine for growing them. My only problem would be how to
locate one or two tubers
once they grow again and go dormant. The growing sleeves solve this
problem beautifully.

With out some thing like this, I always manage to slice up one or two
digging them out. It also
keeps the pups located with a particular plant and they all come out
together.
