With all the talk about Tony's silver-centered Arisaema peninsulae/serrat=um
from Korea, I thought you might like to see a picture. Tony was good enou=gh
to send me a couple of tubers last fall, and they are up and blooming now.
Take a look at:
http://gen.ml.org/~rrh/aik153.jpg
There are two plants here, with the same collection number (AIK153),
presumably from the same area. Curiously, one has dark markings on the
spathe, while the other is a pure, much lighter green. They are not very
large right now, only about a foot tall at best. Well, Guy, should I chan=ge
the label to A. serratum? Just for reference, these are blooming at least=a
month after A. angustatum peninsulae.
Tony also sent me a ringens tuber he collected in Korea. This one is VERY
slow in coming up, with the tip just visible right now. Other ringens in
the garden and in pots have been up for nearly a month.
