Subject: Germination

Things are popping here. Normally I'd wait 'till Tuesday to report, but
there are now 44 species/vars. started germination, 12 species/vars 100%
germinated,
20 still to go so 31.3% of the species have started to germinate, and all
in , 24 days.

I'll get the details up tomorrow because it's supposed to rain all day. I
can't imagine
what a drought we're going to have this summer in order to keep the
average rainfall
within bounds.

In the garden: A. ringens is fully out and in flower, two A. sikokianum
are flowering
(one in the fourth year from seed - no forcing), there are several other
species with
big noses poking up, and seedlings all over the place with leaves.

How are we doing in Canada?

Ray
