To start off,... I am just a novice at Arisaema, so I don't know very
muck (Read almost nil) about growing them in pots.
I purchased an A. tortuosum and A. concinnum yesterday. They each=have
a spout of .5 inch (1cm). The current temperatures here are 23F, -5C, so
any chance of planting them outside is out of the question for probably
a month and a half. Should I be potting them up and start them growing
either on a window sill, under lights OR put them in cold storage in
something like 'chicken grit' until it is safe to plant them. The main
question is also what growing medium are people having success with. I
did multiple searches on the archives last night for any mention of
pot-growing media and came up with no information. I plan on making a
sand/peat sandwich bed this summer but it won't be a viable option until
late this year.
