Subject: A. sikokianum problem?
In-Reply-To: <34EB1DB0.23FC3482 at mhtc.net>

Last Fall I received five little A. sikokianum bulbils from Ellen,
Excited, I potted them up and as per some instructions on the list, I
put them in the refrigerator for several months. When they showed some
signs of emerging, I moved them to my plant closet, where my orchids and
other plants live out the winter under lights, and with enhanced
humidity and air circulation. Growth seemed normal, culminating in
little 4" plantelets with three-lobed leaves. However, over the last
few weeks, these have yellowed and collapsed, and I am left with a lone
survivor. I wonder what I have done wrong--or can this be normal?
Should, perhaps, these not dry out ever? Any advice would be greatly
appreciated.

Clear skies,
Al
