I hope this post is not inappropriate.

I am co-chair of  the Rare & Unusual Plant Sale to benefit the education
programs of the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens Society.  The Soc=iety
is housed in a fabulous Lord & Burnham conservatory (circa. 1900) sited i=n a
Frederick Law Olmsted park.  The conservatory has fallen on hard times du=e to
the economic conditions of this area, but the Society is building and we =are
currently undergoing a major restoration.

ANYWAY, the theme for this year's sale is arisaema!  We have used some ar=twork
from the internet in our promotion of the event and one of our more talen=ted
members, Keith Romanczyk, even wrote an article for our newsletter on the
genus.

So, my question is - would anyone be willing to donate a plant to our auc=tion
(5/15)?  In return I'd be happy to send you a copy of our newsletter ... =or
whatever would please you (within reason).

For any commercial folks, we do publish a program that we use as a tool a=ll
year long - the program not only has a 'green map' of local nurseries who
donate, but we also offer a coupon section with information about long-
distance donors and how to get their catalog.  The sale itself is attende=d by
well over 1,000 gardeners.

So, I hope I'm not out of line for this post... but I'm getting a little
panicky.  We do have a few arisaemas from Bob Stewart, Arrowhead Alpines.=..
but I'd sure like to have more.

And, finally... would it be appropriate to mention the Society in our
program????
