Your posting was very interesting. I must admit that I never thought of the
concept that, even if the rotted tuber itself can't be saved, offsets might
be formed successfully.

I take it that after the sulfur dusting you allow the tuber to dry out for
several days before replanting? Do I also understand correctly that you check
for offsets in 5-6 months or so? How long would you wait before discarding
the tuber, or would it depend on whether it had disappeared or not?

I'll not wish any rotted tubers on myself, but I'll certainly be anxious to
try your method when the inevitable happens.
