Jean et All,

Before I sent my little order to Madan I was warned that there could be
difficulty sending a Fax. I suggest that the problem is one of timing.
The first fax I sent at 9.00am South Australia time and it went through
first try.
My second fax wouldn't go (2.30pm SA time) after several tries so I made a
voice call and spoke to an Indian lady who asked me to fax much later in
the day as they had no electricity. India is largely a third world country
and i know tha some areas do not have electricity available during much of
the day. Try faxing at their night time. The third fax I sent, again
first thing in the morning, brought a typed fax response within 15 minutes.

Tamang suggested to me that they would not be sending tubers until dormancy
in November when he will also have a new seed list. I can only be very
pleased with my dealings so far.

I recall someone asking if we have to contend with your freezing
conditions. I can only recall snow where I live once in my lifetime while
some of the hills around our city may have snow in odd years. I am pleased
to say that we have a very mild climate compared to yours. I think that
people might be fascinated if Eric Walton was to give a description of his
climatic conditions in New Zealand.
