Indian problems Part 2 Disease Problem

Greg & others:

The die back occurs after the leaf has unfurled and appears to be growing
well. Then a reddening of the blade accompanied by a water soaking, which
is what leads me to suspect bacterial infection. The entire leaf blade
then yellows some and wilts...often within a couple of days, then the
petiole collapses. Sometimes the tuber then rots, other times the tuber
appears to be OK, at least for now. I have not sprayed anything specific.
Occurs on the mature tubers of plants I have imported. Though a friend
dug an A. griffithii for me form his garden in Portland and brought it to
me....it did a similar thing after two weeks but the tuber seems fine.

I need to get a handle on this but my real full time job and travel has
slowed me up.

If anyone else has observed such problems I think a good thread for the
group might be disease problems and control idea.

Best Wishes,

Scott
