A. elephas germination

Repeating what I wrote to Guy Gusman earlier this week:

"If you poke around in your A. elephas seed pots, you will probably find
the seeds have indeed germinated and formed tiny tubers-- but no leaves.
They should come up after another cool dormant period. Chris Brickell
confirmed this when I asked him about them this past winter. The two
elephas tubers that I collected at Tianchi Lake came up fine-- one bloomed
just like the photo in the AGS bulletin, the other had much less purple
coloration, and aborted before fully opening. The leaves are growing
strongly now-- about 18" tall."
