Well Gene,
You said earlier that the variability of Trillium is a big part of
what keeps things interesting. Sounds like you would be right in
calling most of your purchased sulcatum flexipes. BUT what of those
"outliers" at least some of which "sound" like they could be simile
(without a black ovary, why not since nothing else works?) or at
least a hybrid.

i think those upright forms must be impressive and need to be
selected for propagation. But, given Richard's comments what might
one expect from the seedlings...
