Jim, Al and anyone else, for that matter

Leafhoppers (Cicadellidae) are homopteran bugs (I use the word bug in =
its true sense, not in the =
'anythingthatisnotcoveredinfeathersorfurandhasmorethanfourlegs sense). =
They are tiny plant suckers (smaller than 'froghoppers', though similar =
in shape, but do not produce the frothy 'cuckoo-spit' as nymphs) and may ==
be plant species specific. They may be about 2mm long and have soft =
forewings of various colours, according to species, e.g. Graphocephala =
fennahi is a larger (5mm) green (with red stripes) species, now =
established in Britain, but of N. American origin and feeds on =
Rhododendron spp.

Anthony.
