<p>My workaround for duplicating a layer goes as follows: <br>
</p>
<ol style="margin-bottom:0px; margin-top:0px">
<li><span id="ms-rterangepaste-start"></span><span>select the layer you want duplicate</span></li><li><span>select all elements in this layer (ctrl+shift+a)</span></li><li><span>create a new layer (ctrl+shift+n)</span></li><li><span>select the new layer, now copy (ctrl+c) and paste (ctrl+v) the elements here.</span></li></ol>

Hi there.<br>

Is there a way to duplicate a layer?<br>
<br>
I can't find a menu voice for this.<br>
<br>
If not, it could be a good feature to add: at present I am having a bit <br>
of pain because I need it and I can't find a viable workaround.<br>
<br>
Even better, IMHO it would be nice to have a feature which create a new <br>
layer merging together selected layers.<br>
