[Ipe-discuss] svgtoipe problem

Hello everyone,

I used to use pdftoipe for a while but recently I had to convert a picture
including semi-transparent areas. It seems that pdftoipe does not support
transparency. I tried to use svgtoipe (I was first very glad because I'm
python user) but it seems that it does not support UTF8 encoding:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
    ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

How can avoid that?
