[Ipe-discuss] problems including pdf figures with ipe 6pre25

I just discovered that I can't include a pdf figure in an Ipe document 
with pre25, Qt 4.1.  (This is a Sun Solaris system.)

I make a plot with GnuPlot, using the "postscript" terminal.  That 
produces a .ps file, which I convert to pdf using "ps2pdf".  I can 
include this file in a LaTeX document with no problem, using
\includegraphics{...}.

But when I make a textbox in my Ipe document and put the 
\includegraphics{} in it, Ipe keeps saying

Something is wrong with the PDF file generated by Pdflatex.
Please consult the stderr output to identify the problem.

I don't see any problem in the output, but the file text.pdf in 
~/.ipe/latexrun is indeed messed up.  When I look at it using xpdf, the 
figure is superimposed on the page that follows it in the Ipe document.

Any hints would be appreciated.
