Actually, I have patched my version to use just Right-click to show the 
object menu. However, I would like to Edit the object using double-click 
and this is not as trivial change. Currently, double-click on object 
does nothing and it would be much faster than control+right-click and 
then select edit from the menu.

Anyone has any actual reason against double-click for Edit object? I 
would be happy to hear it.
