This is what I would do:
First I would create a "spacer" rectangle, with height exactly equal to
the space I want between the textboxes. Put a copy of the rectangle
somewhere on the side.
Insert the first textbox. Press ^L to run LaTeX on it. Then go to
Ipelets->Goodies->Insert bounding box. That will create a rectangle of
the exact same size as your textbox.
Duplicate the spacer rectangle, and with snapping to vertices on, place
one copy directly below your textbox. It will snap to the bounding box
rectangle.
With snapping to vertices, place another textbox directly below the copy
of spacer rectangle. Repeat the whole process.
At the end, select all the rectangles (spacers and bounding boxes) and
set the line style to void.
Of course once you edit any of your textboxes, you will have to re-align
everything manually again.
