  I have rotate on the icon bar. But, when I select the text (by clicking on
the small, green box at the lower, left corner), I cannot rotate it. Holding
down the left button on the trackball, and moving the ball, only moves the
selection bar a little bit.

  How am I supposed to rotate the object?

  Also, the text keeps returning to a very small size. I select each text
item (by holding down the shift key as I left-click on the green dot), then
select "Large" font size. They display at that size, then revert to tiny as
soon as I press ctrl-s to save the file.

  Something strange is going on and I'm not very happy.
