[Ipe-discuss] Getting started properly

Only yesterday did I learn of ipe so I downloaded, built it and installed
it (surprised that wasn't automated with a 'make install'). So far I like
what I see, but I have read the manual without finding answers to a couple
of questions.

My most pressing need is illustrations for a book I'm writing. For these
illustrations I need perpendicular axes (left and bottom) with tic marks.
This I have figured out.

On these axes are hand-drawn "plots" of Z-curves, S-curves and bell-shaped
curves. I find drawing these to be _much_ easier than with xfig or tgif.
But, ... how to I make a bell curve horizontally symetrical? I want it to
look like it had been plotted by an application.

TIA,

Rich
