I have the following problem.  (Ipe 6 pre 10 , Linux)

I want to add a mark, thus I click on the marks button
and I click in the canvas to create a mark.

Then all "mode buttons" become inactives,
I enter the shortcut "S" to go in selction mode with no effect
and I remain in mark mode.

If I move a mark with the midle button, then mode buttons
become active and I can exit the mark mode.
