Ipe 7.2.22 is now available in source form, as a Windows binary, as a MacOS app, and as Linux packages on the Ipe homepage at http://ipe.otfried.org.

The main new feature is a recent file menu and the possibility to exclude pages from the PDF version of the Ipe document - that is, you can have pages showing up only in Ipe, but not in a PDF reader.

This version also fixes a crash that some Linux users have reported, where Ipe could crash when it refreshed the screen at the exact moment that a Latex run was finishing.

Note for macOS users: I currently have no access to recent Apple hardware, so the 7.2.22 binaries were compiled on an 11-year old Macbook Pro on Yosemite. Therefore, the touch bar will not work in those binaries. Stick with 7.2.20 or compile Ipe yourself if you need this. Hopefully the hardware issue will be resolved by the next release.

Enjoy,
  Otfried

Ipe 7.2.22

 * Recent file menu (#322).

 * Update PDF resources on main thread to avoid race condition (bugs
   #354, #359).

 * Can exclude pages from PDF output by adding a layer "NOPDF" to the
   page. The layer does not need to be visible. (#362).

 * Use a better bitmap checksum that is less likely to cause bitmaps
   to be reordered. Sort mappings of symbolic attributes to make them
   deterministic (#356).

 * Display Type3 fonts with a unique representation to make it easy to
   diagnose the problem.
