[Arisaema-l] rust on jack-in-the-pulpit

Thanks for putting out the question re rust on the Arisaema listserve. Sounds bad. As soon as I saw the rust on Jacks at my friend's home, I started spraying my jacks. I found some rust on those I hadn't sprayed and pulled them out and disposed of them, then sprayed most of the rest. Yesterday I found 2 more with rust that I missed and I disposed of those. What is odd is that one with rust can be right next to others without it. I wonder if some strains are more resistant to it? The black stripped Jacks don't seem as susceptible to it. My fear is that since I raise so many kinds of Aroids (see list below), that other Aroid varieties may be susceptible. Are you on any kind of Aroid listserv that you could send an inquiry to?
