[Arisaema-l] seed pod question

I have also had pods where the stem is withering and if you take it inside then, usually the berries will gradually turn red off the plant.
But do ALL the species' berries turn red/orange when they are ripe?

Subject: [Arisaema-l] seed pod question Lately I have been collecting seed, mostly for the AEG Seed Exchange. All my American species' seed pods turn red when they are ripe for picking and cleaning. This year I have several Asian ones that made/are making seed for the first time, including ringens and sikokianum. Do ALL arisaema berries turn red when they are ripe, or do some stay green?   Thanks. Charles HunterSmyrna, Georgia z7 USA
