Looking in the garden today, I saw my first infloresence of the year, up and
opened before the leaves are starting to unfurl, as is typical of Arisaema
ternatipartitum. I almost missed seeing it as the stem and spathe are a
similar color to the leaf litter and the plant is not tall. Not as showy as
some of the other taller ones, but it is starting the show for this season
in my garden. It is supposed to spread by underground runners but mine has
yet to show that habit.
