Hope I'm replying to this thread correctly and not making a new topic...

Thanks for your welcome to the group. Having a quick scan through the members list here, there are a few names that I recognise already. The plant world is a small world!

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence - from where I'm sat in the UK, other parts of the world seem to have far more plants available than we do here in Europe!

Regards,
Ben Candlin.

Hello Melissa
A few nurseries in Australia have reasonable collections of arisaema. Don, at Yamina Collectors Nursery is one. A few others as well.

Subject: Re: [Arisaema-l] New Arisaema L Member Welcome Ben, I too am a collector of tuberous Araceae, primarily Arum. There are some marvelous Arum cultivars in the UK, but so far I have been unable to find a way to import them. You are lucky. My attempts at Arisaema have mostly met in disaster, but I keep trying. I also collect penillia and some other aroids. David J. Leedy3151 Cortez DriveFort Worth, TX 76116 Telephone: (817) 560-2997Email: djleedy at sbcglobal.net USDA Hardiness Zone 7b (Avg. Subject: [Arisaema-l] New Arisaema L Member Hello,

I have just recently signed up to the AEG, and thought I'd post a brief message here just to say hi!

I'm a collector of tuberous Araceae (amongst other plants) based in Devon, UK. My main areas of interest are Arisaema and Arum, although I grow many different genera of both temperate and more tropical species. I look forward to taking part in the discussions here.

Regards,
Ben Candlin.
