[Arisaema-l] Arisaema-L Dormancy?--also small lots of seedimport requirements

I got a few seeds from Eric this summer and it was JUST AFTER my permit had
expired. I got a call from an APHIS (part of USDA) inspector in Atlanta and
he said he would hold my seeds until I got my permit renewed. I expedited it
and he was able to confirm the renewal on line and immediately sent me my
seeds. He was very pleasant to deal with.
If our worldwide members keep contributing seed of unusual species, it's
worth it to do this every 3 years. My permit and green and yellow tags are
good until Sept 2016. Those of you getting new/renewal permits should send
some of the tags + a copy of your permit to Eric before next March.

Charles and others,
I received my permit in Jan 2012, and it and the green and yellow stickers
say they're good till Jan 2015. I assume USDA means what it says and I don't
have to get back to them till 2015. Does that sound right? Just checking...

I just renewed my USDA import permit for small amounts of seed. You can
expedite it if you visit a local office that can approve you to do it
electronically. You have to go to the USDA site to get directions on how to
do that- a little confusing, but doable.

I am also a seed donor and if you want to do that The Netherlands does not
require any permit to send seeds to Eric.
I hope my Arisaema taiwanense seed pod ripens soon. My American species are
fast asleep and all seed collected but that one is still going strong with a
green seed pod. See attachments.

Hi Tom
I see you...I guess it is sleep time for arisaemae.
Remember to get your USDA permits for the SeedX; it can take a little time.
Clear skies,
Al
