[Arisaema-l] Arisaema grapsospadix question

This picture is from last June of a plant obtained from Chen Yi. It may be
one of the relatively few correctly IDd species from them, as A.
grapsospadix, an evergreen Arisaema.

Evergreen ones are usually tropical and do not like freezing weather. But
all mine go in the garden as I do not have a greenhouse. Where I am in the
southeastern USA is a relatively warm region, but it always freezes in the
winter, often in January. When it froze this last January, that was the end
of the plant, or so I thought.

But it is coming back up now, like a deciduous Arisaema. I was not expecting
that as I thought the plant was toast after the freeze. Does anybody have
experience with that one (or other evergreen ones) in the garden coming back
up after a freeze? I wonder if it is fading to black over a few seasons or
whether it can continue to do this in this relatively mild climate.
