Could not send this out via address listed on AEG info page so I'm trying the mailing list:

Hello to all AEG members; My name is Paul Schneider. I live northeast of Nashville, Tennessee, UDSA Zone 7A on 2.3 acres. I'm currently retired & spend my time gardening & creating art( abstract sculpture). I have been involved with plants and gardening off & on for most of my life. For the last 30 years or so I have been able to become more seriously involved in gardening; first in my childhood home in northern New York and for the last 8 years at our current home in Tennessee.

I'm a member of The American Bamboo Society, The American Conifer Society, North American Rock Garden Society, & Middle Tennessee Perennial Plant Society. My current garden interests are varied but include plants related to the aforementioned societies and also aroids, Berberis species & cultivars, hardy palms & xeric plants such as hardy cactus, yuccas & agaves. The childhood woodlands of northern NY & Vermont introduced me to Arisaema triphyllum & have fostered a lifelong interest in the genus Arisaema. Hopefully here in Zone 7A my garden will be able to nourish many of the great asian species also. I currently have A. sikokkianum, A. fargesii, A. consanguineum growing in the garden along with Pinellia tripartita, P. pedatisecta, Amorphophallus konjac, Sauromatum venosum,& Arum italicum var. pictum. I look forward to the opportunity to be a member of the AEG. phs, Eastern Sun Studio & Gardens, Portland, TN
