[Arisaema-l] when to move arisaema?

Gene and Carolyn: I have moved Arisaemas in full bloom when the bloom faces
the wrong way where I can't see it well- I just get a large amount of dirt
around the tuber and turn the plant in the hole. Like you say, the roots are
not that extensive on most and they don't even react to being moved. I have
never had a problem doing this. 

I suppose it would be better to move any plant while it is dormant, but then
you are guessing where the tuber is and whether the spathe will be facing
the desired way to see it well when it blooms. If it appears to be doing
well where it is, I don't like separating it from its soil.

Hello Carolyn,
	I have 3 arisaema candidissimum that are not doing all that well
beneath a oakleaf hydrangea. I intend to simply dig them up with a good
sized root ball and move. This week when they complete bloom. Transferred
the same day from one location to the other and watered in well and I don 't
think they will know they have been moved.
