var. liubaense
I bought it as liubaense this year, so this is the first time I've =
seen this particular plant.
The spathe seems right enough, though the spadix appendix is barely =
exserted from the tube. I've not noticed that detail much. And to =
check mine might be difficult as they are ending.
I'm open to alternate suggestions the ID, but 'd be hard pressed to =
place it elsewhere with
those colors & veining on the spathe & what verticillate species has =
50 skinny leaflets? I think that it is a relatively fixed =
character--but can't remember on which species---in the consanguineum =
group
I suspect the leaf is probably a defect which is why I posted it. I'd =
be happy if it's a fixed character though.
The others from the same batch have not emerged yet and my existing =
liubaense aren't up yet
either so I've got no other material to compare just yet. I got them =
from Soules, so maybe
Chris would like to comment on whether any of his plants look like =
this if he's listening in.
