Note: I=E2=80=99m comfortable that this plant is within the normal rang=e of stewardsonii for this area of Rhode Island.  They range from all gre=en to nearly pusillum-like, being virtually all purple with perhaps one t=hin line up the middle.  I surveyed an isolated population yesterday for =2.5 hours, and plants with entirely green inner limbs are the exception r=ather than the rule, accounting for only 3-4% of plants I viewed. All the=stewardsonii pictures I=E2=80=99ve posted to the gallery in the last two=years have this pattern in one form or another. I=E2=80=99ll post some p=ictures of more intermediate plants when possible to give a sense of rang=e. I added a picture of the fluted spathe for this plant.
