Beetles Eating Arisaema

Japanese beetles have different tastes for different regions, it would seem.


They have never touched an Arisaema here in my gardens. In fact
we have hardly seen a JP on the property this year. Even the cana leaves are
clean of holes. We are having problems with thrip ... never before, but this
year foliage is marred on many of my native arisaema.

Definitely.  They've been eating mine for years.  I think A. candidissimum
is their favorite, but I've certainly seen them on A. consanguineum.  Can't
say I've paid close attention, though, because they're not what you'd call
picky eaters...
