A. lobatum/ now triphyllum

Chris,
I have all kinds of forms of triphyllum which have been persisting in norma=l garden conditions for years.
The stewardsonii are more recent aquisitions because it's been so hard to f=ind entirely isolated populations.
It's tought to say how they are doing. They haven't declined yet, but the=y don't seem to be prospering either.
Here too, they occupy primarily soggy positions. I often find triphyllum=growing on a slope of sand and stewardsonii
at the bottom in a mush of roots and decomposing leaves floating over water=.

Erick-
Thanks! Curious what triphyllums you are growing. I immensely enjoy our =native triphyllums and have been allowing them to spread a bit. I particul=arly like some of the dark forms.
I was able to collect stewardsonii many years ago. They came up for a year=or two but then dissapeared. I was growing them under "normal" garden con=ditions (and we have had some dry spells too), so I think that caused the=ir demise. Are you growing them under moist conditions? I have seen them =in the wild a couple times, always along riverbank flood areas. -Chri=s ===================================
