Tom,

I am in California. I had to contact my inspection station and pay =
postage for the final leg. I suspect individual inspection centers =
apply their own courtesies. Pretty much, you wait awhile then call to =
see if they have arrived. They didn't contact me.

One additional item with respect to seed shipment: in the letter =
accompanying the permit, Carolyn Fitzgerald states that it is the =
permittee's responsibility to arrange and pay for shipping from the =
inspection station to the the permittee (us!). Noting from my =
green/yellow label info that my inspection station will be Kennedy =
Airport, I called them (phone number on Carolyn's letter) for details. =
They said they just forwarded the stuff on to the recipient (they trace =
back on line from the permit number) and the mail service honored the =
forward, and they've had no trouble with this arrangement...and if a =
problem occurred, they would get in touch with us.

Still, I think that after I receive word from Eric that shipments have ==
been made, I'll check that in fact they forward the packet.

Have any of you with prior experience on this had to arrange for =
shipping and postage to you from Inspection? Could the procedure =
followed be up to the particular inspection station?

Tom Jacobs
