A question on pollination:
When exactly does a female inflorescence become receptive and, generally= =
speaking, how long does it remain so?
I ask because I have a number of female plants of varying species who hav==
e
been "in bloom" for almost two weeks. What I assume will be male corms, i==
f
they bloom at all, are only just emerging. I calculate it to be 2.5-4 wee==
ks
before I see some pollen. If the situtation was reversed & the males =
were out
first it wouldn't be an issue.
Ideas?
thanks,
Erick
