Tony - I have been reprimanded for describing the excrescences on the tortuosum stem as verrucose, I didn't know how else to describe them - basically the stem is ridged with slight projections that span the ridges!!
Cheers
Anne

Thanks...will dig in our records to find if our source info was recorded incorrectly. Does anyone else grow A. tortuosum with collection info of Hanging Valley, Nepal October 2000.

ANNE CHAMBERS wrote: No, Tony, all my seed which is never a great amount always goes to the AEG exchange and I do not recognise that area of Nepal. Tortuosum is certainly quite late here in June but not as late as yours. All my plants have nice verrucosed stems with lovely markings.

We grow an excellent form of Arisaema tortuosum, (probably your
collection) originally from seed listed in the NARGS seed list under A.
consanguineum from Hanging Valley, Nepal, October 2000. This is quite
different from all of the other forms of this species we grow since it
consistently does not flower until early July and still looks great at
first frost here. The stems are also solid green without the typical
patterning of the species. Have you or others grown this form and seen
the same late emerging/flowering characteristics.
