Dear Arisaema Enthusiasts,
I am 47 years, living in the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1990 I
bought my house and started planting Rhododendrons, but a couple of =years
later I got children and forgot all about plants and garden. The garden =got
into an awful condition, a mess which I have tried to control the last 3
years, building areas for Rhododendrons. Something was missing when May =was
over, it was a little boring, I wanted to find other plant groups which
could flower and bring life to the garden the remaining year. I started =with
Orchids i.e. Dacthylorhiza and Orkis and in general the plant collection
grew. One day I saw what turned out to be Arisaemas on a Danish web site =for
orchid growers, and I was excited =96 They are simply amazing!
Later I found www.gtpoulsen.dk <http://www.gtpoulsen.dk/> a fantastic =web
site for Arisaema fans. It was not that easy to find the plants in =Denmark,
but I had the luck and have recently started my collection with some of =the
more common species. I look forward to learn a lot, and have tried to =catch
up with a lot of the great articles and comments found on this list.
One thing is worrying me, hybridization, how can I prevent that the
different species crosses in my garden?
Best wishes
Lars Vilhelm Hansen
