Dear Kathy,
I don't know why Tony thinks it won't be hardy in Zone 6. It is fine
here in mid Zone 6 and we don't usually have snow cover.
As long as you can keep it cold over the winter in the pot it should
be fine. Or you could put the pot in a zip lock bag and keep it in
the vegetable bin of the refrigerator. It is very late to emerge so
don't despair in the spring.
It is amazingly beautiful, and a fast multiplier, so you could could
try some offsets outside next year.
