I was reading through old posts and just reread this one. Ironically, I
have had ONLY female plants (or smaller, non-blooming plants) this year. =I
have two lobatum, amurense, and a load of triphyllum with big bunches of
berries that our not fertilized and not swelling. Ironically, the weathe=r
has been relatively good this year (for the first time in many) for Arisa=ema
and the plants themselves are dark green and unblemished. -Chris in NJ

Hello All: I went to try to find some pollen to consider crossing wi=th
my triphyllums and/or the hybrid 'sikotak' both of which are blooming he=re
now in Glenview, IL Out of about 30 plants, NONE have any pollen. All =are
female, including those whose spathes are already drying up. Any comment=?
The weather has not been particularly unusual in previous months--a few d=ays
in the high 80s (F), but overall fairly cool. 60=B0 F today and rain.
I think this is unusual as the plants come from a number of different
places, Tennessee, Wisconsin, the carolinas, the east coast, and the west
coast. Comments? Speculation?
