My consanguineum have been coming up since April. Aother candidissimunm ==
came up yesterday. What late triphyllum do you have?. Sounds as if it =
might be stewardsonii which comes up late. I'm getting one shipped to me ==
now which is still in bloom from PA.

Adam-
They sure do seem to "appear overnight". I wonder if someone here =
will come up with some scientific references. If not, it will be up to =
the people of this list to get outside with a ruler!!
One late A. triphyllum still in bloom. Two A. candidissimum appeared =
within the last week. One consanguineum up, but most don't appear to =
about July 4th. -Chris

Jim? Maybe the rain accounts for some of that "coming up" action. =
I've
noticed sudden bursts of growth after heavy rains. But nothing's =
come up
since that candidissimum of a week ago that seemed to just appear =
suddenly
at 4" tall.. This brings up a question I've been forgetting to ask:
I'm sure that this phenomenon of sudden appearance at 4 to 7 inches =
--and
"it just wasn't there yesterday", (I think) has occurred with =
others. Have
there been any actual studies of the growth rate of arisaemas? I =
know that
there have been with bamboo. Academics, please? Adam in Glenview, =
