Jim? Maybe the rain accounts for some of that "coming up" action. I've
noticed sudden bursts of growth after heavy rains. But nothing's come up
since that candidissimum of a week ago that seemed to just appear suddenl=y
at 4" tall.. This brings up a question I've been forgetting to ask:

I'm sure that this phenomenon of sudden appearance at 4 to 7 inches --and
"it just wasn't there yesterday", (I think) has occurred with others. Ha=ve
there been any actual studies of the growth rate of arisaemas? I know th=at
there have been with bamboo. Academics, please? Adam in Glenview, IL. US=DA
