Nothing showing outside here in North West UK, Zone 7, we have had a hard
winter, very cold, down to -10 degrees C for long periods and quite a bit=of
rain.
I do have Sikokianum showing in a pot in a cold greenhouse and this has
appeared at the same time as last year. Also Negishi which I bought at th=e
end of last year this started into growth, inside, late December. No sign=of
Nepenthoides outside or Ringens which I normally expect to emerge early.

seeds having arrived. A kiushianum which grew to maturity from seedex2000
was stored dormant in refridgeration indoors from last summer has just
bloomed a second time, this time indoors and earlier than last year. As t=he
inflorescence shriveled last year I was worried about the whole plant
rotting down so I dug it up and potted it and slowly dried it out under
cover from rain. The seedling survived its first years unsheltered outdoo=rs
but the larger blooming size tuber I worried might rot. It showed its tru=e
semi-subtropical nature by starting to grow so early while still in the
refridgerator drawer.

mother bulbs of ringens are "pointing" their ghostly colored cataphylls
above ground. None of the numerous ringens offsets I dug up last fall and
spread to other locations in the garden are showing. Likewise for amurens=e,
usually one of the earliest ones also, has not shown yet so I'm not worri=ed
about my surviving sikokianum(s) as of yet. Of course, by the time
triphyllum shows in a week or two, I should be sure about these, and
serratum, and perhaps iyoanum var naka-something-or-other (was very $$).

Cypripediums showing. Of course the new job is killing me with long hours.
