Peduncles on A. consanguineum - to nod or not to nod?

>Hello,
>Would anyone be able to shed light on an anomaly I have spotted with one of my clones of A. consanguineum. My experience of consanguineum fruiting backs up the literature which says this species should have a nodding peduncle. Or did until this year! I have a plant purchased as A. consanguineum "Quinling" a couple of years ago that is developing a healthy infructescense. However it remains resolutely upright. Other consaguineum plants in the garden that are fruiting have nodding peduncles at a similar stage of development. Is this just a late developer or a different plant? The plant has a fairly uniform mid kakhi stem with a slight bloom, approx 72cm tall with 14 leaflets on a single leaf each 23cm by 7cm with an additional 7cm drip tip extension. These are a dark green uniform colour.

Hello Martin,
You're right it is not normal! Is there something wrong with the ID of your plant? Or the fruiting peduncle curve will down a bit later? Some species, such as A. formosanum, have a fruiting peduncle that curves down as soon as the spathe is about to wither, other species wait until the fruiting spike is almost red. But anyway, this doesn't vary from year to year.
I send you privately - attachments are not allowed on Arisaema-L - a photo of Arisaema consanguineum 'Qinling', shooted in the wild (in Qinling of course), in early August 1998. You see that the plant indeed has a nodding fruiting peduncle. With the help of the photo you can tell if your plant looks like the 'true' original Qinling.
But a mistake in the trade cannot be excluded. In case of doubt, send Eric Gouda a photo of your plant when the fruit is ripe. He will add it to the identification corner.
Best wishes.
