Seed cleaning and slugs

Hi all,

Currently there are several species setting seed, here in a wet, autumnal
Holland.

I left the fruits of a. tortuosum laying around a sheltered spot in the
garden when the slugs got track of it (2 species of slug, one small type of snail).
They are now half way through the pulp, leaving the seeds in a neat pile on
the ground. This seems to save me a lot of work. The only concern is that the
seeds may get scattered by rain or other animals.

Anybody experience with other arisaema species? They might contain chemicals
that deter slugs.

George.
