6-7 years ago Roy Herold was doing crosses between sikokianum and other
species, including triphyllum, takedae and angustatum peninsulae. He sent me=a lot
of seed, most of which have turned into plants. Unfortunately, some labels a=re
missing/misplaced, and I'm not quite sure what's what! Some have formed
robust clumps of tall plants with nicely variegated leaves and spadices no=t
unlike sikokianum in shape.

So far they seem to be longer lived than sikokianum, although not as
spectacular.

I share Pascal Bruggeman's concern that the popularity of arisaemas as garde=n
plants, together with what seems to be a readiness to interbreed (even
between separate sections), may soon wipe out many separate species and turn=our
garden arisaemas into healthy mongrels!
